We’re excited to release the 2023 agendas for SECC’s Research and Education & Outreach Committees, which highlight the key topics that will be explored during committee meetings and published for members throughout the year.
This year, the Research Committee will begin with the “Renewables: Engaging Consumers in the Clean Energy Transition” and “2023 State of the Consumer” reports before tackling projects on disaster preparedness and customer satisfaction with the smart grid later in the year. The committee will also launch its Smart Energy Snapshot Surveys, a series of shorter surveys that will quickly respond to topical issues between the larger studies.
The Education & Outreach Committee also has an ambitious slate of projects for 2023 that will build on findings from 2022-2023 research studies. The year will begin with “The How, The Why, The What of Electric Rate Structures” project, which will use insights from December’s study on rate plans. Later, the committee will publish a white paper based on the “2023 State of the Consumer” report and will embark on a series around the “Questions to Ask to Be a Smarter Energy Consumer” theme.
If you're a member and are interested in joining upcoming committee meetings, please contact SECC’s Deputy Director Jason McGrade. If your organization is not yet a member, contact SECC's President & CEO Nathan Shannon to learn more.
