Cooling High Summer Electric Bills

SECC’s “Cooling High Summer Electric Bills” survey is the second installment in the Smart Energy Snapshot Series, a recently launched research series designed to quickly capture Americans’ thoughts on timely energy-related topics via brief, nationally representative surveys.

The online survey, fielded to 1,516 respondents in August, sought to understand how Americans are cooling their homes (central A/C, heat pump, fans, etc.), whether they are actively monitoring their cooling systems, how they feel about participating in a demand response program and more.
