Vivint Solar is a leading full-service residential solar provider in the United States. With Vivint Solar, customers can power their homes with clean, renewable energy and typically achieve financial savings over time. Offering integrated residential solar solutions for the entire customer lifecycle, Vivint Solar designs and installs solar energy systems for its customers, and offers monitoring and maintenance services. In addition to offering solar energy system for purchase, customers may benefit from Vivint Solar's affordable, flexible financing options, power purchase agreements (PPAs) or lease agreements, where available.
Vivint Solar has installed over 905 megawatts (MWs) of solar energy systems to more than 132,000 customers throughout the United States. Vivint Solar operates in 21 states in total: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Virginia.

Vivint Solar works with utilities to enable consumers to generate their own renewable energy and export excess energy to the grid, often through net energy metering billing agreements. Net metering allows the homeowner to receive credits for any energy their system produces that is not consumed on-site and is instead exported to the grid. These credits can be used at a later time to help offset the homeowner’s utility bill. Homeowners use energy from the grid when solar panels produce insufficient power for their consumption needs.
