Clean Transportation Manager, Southern Company
Based in Atlanta, Lincoln Wood is Southern Company’s Clean Transportation Manager. Since 2006, Lincoln has worked in complimentary areas of marketing including marketing research and statistical analysis, product development, policy development and innovation. Some of his accomplishments include the planning, development and rollout of an energy data usage presentment tool to over 3.5 million customers in Southern Company’s territory and playing a leadership role in DOE’s national energy usage data privacy project, DataGuard. Currently, Lincoln works to further electric transportation technology and infrastructure penetration, both nationally and across the Southern Company footprint. Lincoln holds Bachelors’ Degrees in Economics and Sociology from the University of Georgia, is a Certified Energy Manager, and a lifetime member of Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society. Lincoln also serves as chair of the Board of Directors for Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative, also based in Atlanta.

Gomathi Sadhasivan is Vice President – Energy Systems at DNV. In this role, she builds and strengthens trusted partner relationships and helps clients navigate the energy transition. She has worked at the intersection of customer behavior, market research, and analytics for 30 years. She brings to bear a sophisticated toolkit honed on projects for clients in highly competitive sectors like automotive, finance, and retail, to a rapidly evolving energy industry seeking insights on topics such as customer engagement, price sensitivity, and product optimization. Gomathi served as Research Committee Chair for the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative from 2015 – 2019 and has served on SECC’s Board of Directors since October 2018. She received an award from the SECC in 2016 recognizing her outstanding contributions as Research Committee Chair. Gomathi has an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School and graduate degrees in Mathematics & Statistics from Michigan Technological University and the University of Mumbai. She is a Guest Lecturer in Customer Engagement for Willamette University Atkinson School's "Utility Management Certificate" program for professionals in the utility industry.

Mike routinely appears in state and federal courts throughout the country, as well as alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediations, arbitration proceedings and settlement negotiations. Jeff Adams

Jeff has focused on the business of the environment within the energy sector since earning graduate degrees from Yale University. The first eight years of his career focused on the oil and gas sector and for the past seventeen years, while at ICF, he has focused on end customer programs for electric and gas utilities. Today’s utility customers expect personalized choice and control. Utilities are transforming and must find new ways to engage with and reward customers for the energy choices they make. As the Senior Vice President in charge of ICF’s Commercial Energy Customer Engagement practice, Jeff oversees the delivery of holistic but customer-centric solutions and programs for electric and gas utilities. Nationally, Jeff and his team deliver deep analytics, technology, marketing, applied behavioral science customer care services and turn-key electrification programmatic services for some of the nation’s largest, most complex, and leading demand side initiatives. He meets clients at their needs and their role in the energy transition to leverage ICF’s national data universe and proprietary analytics, multichannel marketing, building controls/IOT, innovative program design and electrification measures to benefit the end consumer across their energy journey. Laura Basili
Senior Manager, Marketing Education & Outreach, ComEd
Laura Basili is ComEd’s Senior Manager of Marketing Education & Outreach. In this role, Basili leads the marketing strategies and customer-engagement programs that support smart meter, smart grid and associated energy-management tools and programs for the organization’s 3.8 million residential and business customers. As ComEd nears completion of installing more than 4 million smart meters across the areas it serves, her efforts have instrumental in ensuring ComEd customers are aware of smart grid benefits. Basili also manages marketing strategies that increase education and awareness of ComEd’s newly developed solar campaign, initiatives created through Illinois’ Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA) and utility of the future marketing initiatives. Prior to joining ComEd, Basili held marketing leadership roles with LaSalle Bank and real estate investment firm Tanguay-Burke-Stratton. Basili’s strong business acumen, combined with her expertise in the development, delivery and management of integrated marketing programs, have helped organizations launch successful client solutions, increase customer satisfaction scores and has served on the board of the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative. Basili received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Northwestern University and lives near Chicago.
Victoria (Busch) Bussey
Customer Engagement Manager, Ameren Illinois
Victoria (Busch) Bussey is a strategic marketing communications professional with more than 20 years of experience. She led a team that developed and implemented the smart meter customer communications and outreach plan that helped educate more than 1 million electric and 800,000 natural gas customers on the value of using smart meters and smart technology to better manage and control energy usage and costs. The five-year smart meter project transformed the way Ameren Illinois does business today. In January 2020, Victoria joined the Customer Experience business segment at Ameren Illinois and now serves at the Marketing Manager. She leads the marketing and co-worker communications strategy to facilitate electric vehicle adoption and charging capacity. Nominated for a few awards, she was honored for her leadership in Diversity and communications earning both the 2015 Diversity Award and the 2016 President’s Award. She was nominated in 2019 for the President's Award. Victoria is the manager of several consultants and third-party vendors that help administer two energy management programs at Ameren Illinois. As a marketing communications professional, she is strong in branding, media relations, customer engagement and education. Her diverse background exemplifies professional versatility. She believes in using research to guide marketing decisions. Her background consists of sales, public relations, media relations, customer engagement, marketing communications and educations, and project management. She has served as a key spokesperson for Ameren Illinois to protect the company's image on smart technology and its controversy as well as storm restoration work. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Fontbonne University, St. Louis, MO with a focus in Marketing.
Rob Caiello
VP, Marketing and Customer Experience, Allconnect
Rob leads the teams responsible for Allconnect’s business-to-business marketing and communication strategies, email marketing and customer experience and quality oversight. He also oversees customer satisfaction research and measurement, including benchmarking Allconnect’s customer experience with national brands using the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI). Prior to Allconnect, Rob focused on direct-to-consumer marketing through senior-level marketing roles with DIRECTV and Home Shopping Network. He began his career in the utility industry with Niagara Mohawk Power Company (now National Grid), where he worked for eight years in demand side planning, energy efficiency programs and at a deregulated spin-off. He received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology, followed by a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Quantitative Methods from Syracuse University.

Laurence Christopher Daniels, Esq.
Assistant People's Counsel, Office of the People's Counsel – DC
Attorney Laurence Daniels is currently the Director of Litigation for the Office of the People’s Counsel. He has an extensive background in the electric and telecommunications industry. Since January 2000, he has worked for the Office as a regulatory attorney advocating on behalf of telecommunications, electric and natural gas consumers. During his tenure with the Office, he represented the consumers’ interest in a number of electric rate cases and the smart grid pilot program, PowerCentsDC. Through the pilot program experience, he learned how digital technology is transforming the electric industry, that consumer education is essential to empower consumers’ ability to benefit from this new technology and that there is a need for new policies to be created to protect consumers. Prior to joining the Office, he obtained a solid understanding of cable television and telephony infrastructures while serving as a product manager of cable television and fiber optic enclosures while working for Reliance Comm/Tec. In 1997, Mr. Daniels received his law degree from Howard University School of Law. He and his wife Gilda, a voting rights attorney, reside in Mitchellville, Maryland with their two children Lauren and William.
Jordan Folks
Associate Director of Demand Flexibility, Opinion Dynamics
Jordan is an Associate Director at Opinion Dynamics, where he uses a social science lens to study the intersection of human behavior and energy consumption. Jordan has a decade of experience conducting customer research for the energy industry, including countless process evaluations and market research studies to support energy efficiency programs – many of which have focused on low-income populations and increasing equity of utility offerings. In addition to his experience conducting research directly for utility clients, he has an extensive history with SECC as its Research Chair since fall of 2021. Alongside his involvement in conducting SECC research studies, he has routinely presented research at both in-person and virtual SECC events. In addition to his involvement at SECC, he is also a key player in other high-profile industry organizations, currently serving as the Co-chair of the Peak Load Management Alliance’s (PLMA) Retail Pricing Interest Group and Co-chair of the Association of Energy Services Professional’s (AESP) Resilience Topic Committee.
Branndon Kelley

Branndon Kelley is the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Innovation and Chief Strategy Officer for American Municipal Power, Inc., the nonprofit wholesale power supplier and services provider for 132 Members across nine states that serve approximately 650,000 customers. He has more than 24 years of experience providing vision, leadership, governance and execution of technology and strategic programs, projects and departments. His diverse background includes leading the development of enterprise technology and innovative solutions in a wide variety of business environments, including technology, education, government, financial services, energy, healthcare and manufacturing.
Kelley joined AMP in 2009 as the Senior Vice President of Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO) and has led the organization through a complete information technology transformation. In 2023, he was promoted to his current role where he oversees AMP’s information technology and risk departments and has responsibility for its innovation and transformation initiatives. During his tenure as AMP’s Chief Information Officer, Kelley spearheaded a digital transformation, modernizing infrastructure and incorporating cutting-edge technologies such as smart grids and data analytics as well as the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures to support efforts by AMP and its Members to protect critical infrastructure.
Kelley serves as AMP’s representative on the boards of Hometown Connections, Inc., and the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative. He also serves as president of the Board of Directors of the DeVry Scholarship Fund. Kelley has received many industry honors in recent years, including the comSpark Central Ohio Tech Power Player Award in 2018 and 2019, the 2015 Frost and Sullivan CIO Impact Award; being named to the 2017 class of Smart Business Magazine’s Central Ohio Smart 50 and to the Top 20 Most Innovative CIOs list in 2014.
Prior to joining AMP, Kelley held senior management and executive roles at Quick Solutions, Inc. (now Fusion alliance), HP, EDS, Saber Corp., and has spent more than nine years as an adjunct professor at local colleges.
Kelley received a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from DeVry University and was inducted into their alumni hall of fame, earning a Pinnacle Award. Ryan Irwin Klausmeier

Ryan is Director of Product Management for Opower, a part of Oracle Energy & Water. His team guides the development of all Opower solutions that utilities deploy for their residential and business customers. Opower helps energy providers reduce emissions and streamline operations by influencing consumer action - and currently serves over 59 million electric and over 30 million gas consumers globally. Ryan has worked in software since 2008, and joined Opower in 2015. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative since 2024. Ryan holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, and lives in Eugene, Oregon, with his spouse and two children.
Colin Lamb
Vice President of Delivery, Virtual Peaker
As the Vice President of Delivery, Colin Lamb leads program implementation, technical and customer support, and technology partnerships at Virtual Peaker. Colin previously guided product and go-to-market strategy for the grid optimization software startup Utilidata, and while at Xcel Energy he led product development of new customer solutions including load management programs across the Xcel Energy footprint. Colin and his family live in the Colorado foothills.
Brad Langley

Brad Langley is the VP of Marketing at GridX, the energy industry's leading enterprise rate platform. He oversees the company's corporate, product and growth marketing efforts. Prior to joining GridX, he was a director of marketing at Oracle, where he led product marketing for the company's Opower business unit. Before that, he spent six years at Tendril, one of the early pioneers and leaders in the home energy management space. As the senior director, he played a key role in their strategy to acquire several related companies and form a new entity called Uplight. He has also held senior-level roles at communications agencies Blanc & Otus and Porter Novelli. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Santa Clara University and is the host of the popular podcast, With Great Power, which features interviews with industry pioneers building the future grid.

Kelsey Lawhead

Kelsey Lawhead joined ElectriCities of North Carolina, Inc. in 2016 as Product Development Specialist. In her time at ElectriCities she has served as Manager, Educational Programs and Manager, Program & Product Development, and is currently Vice President, Customer Programs & Strategy. In her tenure she led the launch of NC Public Power’s retail customer survey, an annual research project to benchmark customer preferences, satisfaction and growing program interest and served as project lead for the association’s new member management system. Kelsey has served as a member of Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative’s Education and Outreach committee since 2017 and has served as chair since January, 2020. Prior to joining ElectriCities, Kelsey served in marketing roles for Apple Gold Group and Kaplan Test Prep. Kelsey has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Truman State University and a Master of Business Administration from Illinois State University.
Sarah Moskowitz
Executive Director, Citizens Utility Board (CUB)
Sarah is Executive Director at the Citizens Utility Board (CUB), a Chicago-based nonprofit consumer advocacy group that represents the interests of residential and small business utility customers through outreach, education, litigation, and policy advocacy. She graduated from the University of Chicago in 2000 with a degree in anthropology and immediately started work in CUB’s consumer advocacy department. She returned to University of Chicago in 2004 to earn her Master’s in Social Service Administration, and now manages CUB's consumer education and organizing efforts. These efforts have included the development and management of programs like the Illinois Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program, the CUB Energy Saver online behavior change tool, and the CUB Energy Responder program, an opt-in demand-response initiative in which consumers used plugin load control devices to curb their peak usage.
April Pinkston

April Pinkston is the Director of Strategic Administration and Transformation. She has been employed by Oncor Electric Delivery for over 20 years and is responsible for leading the development and execution of the transformation and sustainability initiatives in Technology Measurement and Customer Engagement (TMC) and throughout the company. The Transformation Office provides centralized support and guidance in identifying needs, designing solutions, and driving impact aligned with the company’s strategic plan. During her tenure at Oncor, April has worked in various key roles and has been a part of several professional organizations including IEEE and SWE. In addition, she has actively participated in various Oncor specific and community programs and committees including the Oncor Political Action Committee, Women’s Leadership Institute, Corporate Diversity Council, serving on the board of the Oncor Cares Foundation and participating in the inaugural class of Oncor’s Leadership Development Program, APEX, developed for Oncor’s emerging talent. April obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. April lives in Dallas and outside of work she enjoys a good workout, volunteering in the community, and spending time with her teenage daughter.

Part of the comprehensive solution set includes Harris’ newest customer engagement solution provider… Questline Digital and its utility-centric marketing and communication services. Prior to Harris’ acquisition of Questline Digital, Dave was President and CEO of Questline advocating for, engaging with, and delivering world class communications, marketing, and customer-engagement business and residential relationships for cooperative, municipal, and IOU utilities. Dave has a BS in Marketing from Miami University (Ohio) and a Master’s in Planning, Design, and Development from Cleveland State University. Dave’s wife of 25 years (Sandee) and family of five (Clay, Elena, Leo, Oliver and Chloe) are the most important part of his life. Hiking, sports, music and movies are some of the activities that the family enjoys. With a family of five, he is still hoping that one of them will eventually join his did on the pickleball circuit!
Nathan Shannon
President & CEO, Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative (SECC)
Nathan is SECC's President & CEO and leads the organization's research, membership and policy initiatives. He came on as SECC's Deputy Director in early 2015, and in this role, he grew membership almost 40 percent to over 150 members. Along with his work on the Research and Policy committees, Nathan leads member recruitment and engagement and routinely presents SECC 's research at major industry conferences and policy workshops around the country. He previously served as Director of Operations and Major Gifts Officer at Athens Land Trust where he had a focus on policy and sustainability through his work with land conservation and carbon credits. He also gained extensive knowledge in the realm of non-profit development and capacity building. Nathan has a bachelor's in economics from the University of Georgia and a background in financial management.
Paul Wezner

Paul Wezner, Chief Product and Customer Officer at Powerley, is responsible for crafting the company’s product offering to its utility customers and overseeing the deployment and success of those programs. Since joining the company as its first employee in 2015, Paul has driven the overall product roadmap – leveraging market intelligence and customer insight to create innovative and differentiated offerings in the home energy management space. Paul has over a decade of experience in the digital realm, with work spanning research, strategy, analytics, and development, including the last six years in the energy industry. In addition to his work at Powerley, Paul has been very active in the industry, serving as a member of the board of directors for the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative since 2019 and speaking at other key industry events, including PLMA, MEEA, Energy Star and the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council. Paul holds a BA in Economics and an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
